Description Continuing with my Vue tests and the Millenium falcon study.
This time since 3D clouds are getting lots of attention at the TG community, I decided to try this capability in Vue.
Results are more than interesting, and a strong point for vue is that this scene was rendered in 4 hours!
I have a similar scene rendering in TG2 That its not half done after 27 hours
Everything turned out nice but the engine glow...well its too.......glowy
Thanks for your clicks.

Good day, I would like to use your photo for a mourning display if I may !? If so, can you send me a release on: sonnenscheinohg@me.com? I would be happy if it works. MFG BjΓΆrn Wehrs, Bestattungshaus Sonnenschein oHG

Woo Star Wars! I don't know if I'd say the back is too glowey, although I would think that could be adjusted. I think if anything there maybe should be some stronger frontal light on the Falcon. Still lovely render. I have Bryce myself and have mostly not used it since whenever I open it up I just bang my head in frustration.

Yes Bryce can do that to you, with the time and effort you need to get something going in bryce you are better off learning a couple of other 3d packages

nice.
the glow is sorta...... boxy.
shouldn't the glow look blue completely? without the little boxes showing?

Those clouds are amazing, and are one of the reasons why I'd like to own Vue6. I would choose it over TG2 anyday. from what I've heard it has fast rendering times even on detailed clouds like these.

The good news: This render is very nice! I just got Vue 6 Esprit last night (Digital Download) and am dying to try it out!

The bad news: Unfortunately, the link you posted to the Falcon is broken or the site is down. I am just getting into 3D art and would love to get some Start Wars objects to play with.

It seems they restructured the site so the links to the models are not available but if you go to the home page directly you can browse from there

Awesome! Thanks for the link.

Here is what I did with it: [link]

Thanks for the inspiration too. I have been itching to start some Sci-Fi work and now with Vue and these great Star Wars models I am ready to begin some scenes I have imagined ever since I was a kid and wanted to be a Jedi.

Thanks again.

Good for you m8, that is odd I just stopped by that site yesterday, hopefully its just a temporary thing cause those guys are the main resource for sci-fi stuff.
I have this other site that has only lightwave models, you have to register though, but its free.

and this other site also has some SW meshes [link]
