Here's a drawing as requested by of a tough girl in a heated battle with Leomon from digimon. Though I'm not very comfortable drawing monsters due to the complexity of their designs, seeing some digimon brought me some nostalgia from childhood and Leomon is a pretty badass looking dude, so I took on the challenge. The girl is unnamed but I was given directions to draw a 19 year old with "long straight hair that hangs almost flat, waist length, tight pants that seem casual yet dressy, finger gloves and sneakers" who fights monsters. I hope I did a decent job!Related content

You've always got such dynamic looking pictures, the fight scenes especially! These two characters are so different but you've balanced them really well compositionally!

Thanks a bunch! This drawing was something completely different for me so I'm glad it turned out well. I honestly didn't notice the contrast between these two until after I finished. Everything worked out nicely!

I love the difference of sizes and body types and you're amazing at fight scenes, they're so dynamic I feel like I'm there and I have to take cover or I'll lose some teeth

i'd say you nailed it pretty well. love her facial expressions. and leomon! talk about memories. the first season of digimon was mind blowing for me as a kid. had just enough of everything from bonding moments to humor and life lessons. plus the main plot was pretty twisted, especaily around the 4 emperiors arc. soo many casualties ugh. nice work as always man

Thanks boss! It was pretty cool to get outside of my comfort zone with this and I learned a bit more about anatomy in the process. Digimon was a hell of a show for its time and I'm glad to have had a chance to revisit old feelings. Thanks again!

yea, its always great to push yourself and seek new hights within your own limitations. i like to think of it as just because you can't do doesn't mean it cant be done. in other words, just because your art isn't world known or up ther with the elietes doesn't mean you cant draw. just because something comes slower than you than others doesn't mean it can't be done. its how i try and approach my works. key word being try. lol
and yea. it wasn't the first anime i saw but the first i truly recognized. i tend to lean towards plot and action within a tale. and thanks to digimon and batman, the characters developments and interaction. like i love to hear theri side stories on how they came to be and why they do what they do.

Absolutely the right attitude to have when it comes to your art. It's like any sculpture, if you put the effort into fixing the flaws, they can be crafted into highlights.
In enough time, I may end up picking it up again for a future nostalgia binge. I don't remember much of the show, but from how you describe it, it'll be worth another look!

yea, the littelist things can mean a world of difference, both in life and in art. i know with my own art, its just too bland and in need of some serious highlights. bt yea, digimon just stood out to me cause it was like no other i seen at the given time. (way better than pokemon for me) so it, and toonami open up my eyes to a more broader way of story telling and concepts. it can still have that childish charm yet tackle deep thought provoking subjects and make the gears in your head turn. but its only how you choose to perceive it. kinda like music, you can choose to listen or actually hear it, whats being said, how its being delivered, and the overall theme or message behind it if any is there to begin with.

That is one bulldozer of a wolfman! (O_o) I'd be concerned seeing those huge fists flying in my direction, that's for certain. Awesome job on the anatomy (for both characters, especially considering they're like night and day) and I think you managed to pull off the monstrous, snarling face of the big bad very well; the eyes are wonderful, they have that animalistic, "cat eye" shape which lends itself well to beasties. Love the girl, she has such a fierce expression and awesome fighter's pose! And for such a vague description, you made a very believable, dramatic character. Bravo!!

It's just another day on the job for her! Thanks so much! I think this was the most muscly guy I've ever drawn. Drawing Takeo with Kakkoi actually came in real handy for this drawing, so it seems like things are working out for me even more then Leomon over there! Really glad the girl came out alright, too!

For sure, you've been challenging yourself and mastering new things right and left with that comic. Look how well this beastie fella looks with all them muscles. Your anatomy is really great, and I'm seeing more and more amazing and dynamic poses with every new upload. It's quite exciting and I cannot wait to see what you draw next. Keep it up, man!!
