I'm digging the new Avengers' toon on DisneyXD. Only one of the things I can't get past is the way they handled Hawkeye's cowl. The character is cool but his mask is big, pointy, and dorky.

Now I'm no animator, so I'm sure there's a lot of thought and practice into making these characters easy to draw repetitively. They get all of my respect.

Either way it inspired me to tweak his mask, not completely, just a little something I think they should have done a long time ago in the comics (or maybe it was done already).

A redesign I did for Wolverine made more sense here. I work the nose piece of the mask giving added protection for his nose (for those close combat situations), and what do you know, it comes off looking like a beak; along with feathery arrows; AND his name is Hawkeye. Sweet I think.

Now Marvel will never adapt this.
