Description A female in Nova CORPS.
? I couldn't find much on this, but I saw this and wanted to try the character out.
Drawn and painted all in Photoshop cs3 with my tablet.

Nova belongs to Marvel.

Actually you aren't so far from the story line....the female version of Nova was really first Proton, and African American military worker in Lousiana... I forgot her real name...I will have to look to look it up...but this is great

I loved this character, and nearly cried when she died. But she has been brought back (kinda) as Nova's new Worldmind.

During the Annihilation, Nova 'deputizes' a woman, she gets part of the Nova Force, which is who you have drawn She is pretty awesome, but sadly short-lived. Back in the day, the force was spread out amongst all the Nova Corps., when they were wiped out Richard Ryder (sp) got it ALL. It's a good story. I really liked her character, i was going to try and mod a heroclix to make her

i decided to look her up, her name is Ko-Rel, she was a stellar captain. her story starts in Nova #4, ends in Nova #6, but she is awesome. I read it in Annihilation Conquest Book Two. Now you know! (and knowing is half the battle )

Do you have a tablet? It took me over a year to get to this point of mediocre, so I know you can rock it!

I've got a Wacom but it's usually buried under all the stuff I have to scan. Any attempts I've made at digital coloring or painting have ended in cosmos sized fail.

It's so incredibly awkward at first. But once you explore and experiment, it becomes natural. I've only recently discovered really using different textured brushes and opacities. Like I said over a year now, and things are starting to look like I didn't draw them with my foot.

I must admit...when I saw a piece titled "Nova" in my Watchlist, I thought for sure it would be a picture of the character Nova from the original "Planet of the Apes" movie. When I saw this instead, my inner fanboy died a little inside, but it's still great work!
