Thank you so much , The critique is very helpful ...I agree with everything, but I think a lot of the shading/lighting problems have to do with my bad camera quality , I also agree with the "no discernible light source," I tend to like to make up shadows and lights as I see fit ( Which is a problem..I guess, lol) And yea, the ear is...a bit awkward...I also made up the anatomy for the ear because I wasn't sure (because elves aren't real..unfortunately and references are hard to come by..I guess I should look at tutorials for elven figures ) The hair also bothers me...It's because I'm not used to the oil medium and didn't realize that I'd have to wait until it completely dried to do lighter colors (they just ended up blending with the dark brown colors )

Ah yes, cameras can be such a pain when photographing paintings! The ear isn't terrible, but perhaps if you had it at more of an angle or a little wider like a human ear except pointed? A little experimenting is great for figuring out what looks best, and I'm sure you'll hit it in no time. I've never used oils myself, but they sound difficult! Good luck!

It's definitely not my favorite medium , unfortunately that's my art professor's favorite medium , I prefer watercolor if I'm going to paint traditionally

Wow, thank you so much , Yea, oil is really difficult...I just started working with (only because college level art classes love oil...:/) It's still not my favorite medium...but I'm still giving it a chance

Hmm, yea I agree...They turned out better as I messed with shadows a bit more...I think I drew them a bit too small...I'd never tried horns from that angle..so I kind've.....guessed lol

My mother also considers anything below a 85 a B.
I meaning, to her, I have like five C's.
I understand why she's so touchy.
I need to get a scholarship, and I'm ADHD, quite heavily, we are trying to sell the house, and dad is already living in the new place waiting for us.
My sister also came out to her last year, and she isn't getting that good of grades in college.
So mum's stressed.
Which means I get it in the neck.

Oh.
My friend in college gave me a lift home today.
She brought her boyfriend, and he was attacking one of my other friends, my first friends little sister, so I ended up mock wrestling with him.
Then I stole his hat.
And now I smell like his cologne.
It was funny cause the way I got him to stop attacking my friend was by grabbing his nipple.
Gotta love my school.
