This is simply breathtaking, Giorgio...I could sit and look at this view for hours!!! Your title..The noise of silence...I love silence.....once, long ago, our family visited The painted desert, in northern Arizona. There was this one place in particular, when the kids and their Dad went off exploring...I just listened...complete silence, it was beautiful and I will always remember that. Are your mountains like that sometimes? I always think that there should be awind blowing...

Enchanting picture and the title makes me wonder: What kind of sounds do clouds make? Except for the sound of thunder, do they make a whispering sound as the winds push them? Hmmm, makes me wonder.

On the high mountains the silence could be so "strong" than you can hear a kind of sound:the sound of silence!!

Fantastic.
All the rocks on end look like people at first sight, so they must be trolls. (I mean the people sized ones on the lower slopes, not the main ridges themselves!)
But to judge by their locations, they look as though they were erected by people - indeed, perhaps they're cairns (piles of stones built by people) rather than rocks on end?
