I dare say this is a more realistic depiction than the actual game
You're telling me that Harbinger's laser; which has been shown to rip through the largest of dreadnoughts like a bullet through butter, hit point blank in front of Shepard and the most serious damage done was some bleeding, bruises and a little bit of his/her armor's sleeve torn off?

Also, I think you should be aware, reapers are not Harbinger. Harbinger is one distinct entity that manipulates the reaper forces. All reapers have lasers and destroy shit, not just Harbinger.
I'm seriously laughing at how you can consider this "realistic" when the parts of armor blown off are "coincidentally" also highly sexualized parts of the female body. Yeah, super realistic.

If you look at the anatomy of the human body, it is as it is, a human body
Whether you view half a thigh or a shoulder as sexual is your prerogative
But I feel that is inconsequential to you, as realistically, if Shepard had survived, almost all of his/her armor would have been blasted apart/blasted off; therefore I feel you would have felt that if the artist portrayed such you would have been even more disgusted at nude Shepard
And I did play the game, did you
I am aware Harbinger is a reaper and that all reapers have "lasers and destroy shit"
I'm also aware that Harbinger was indeed the reaper at the Citadel beam shooting at Shepard
For someone who picks apart such minor details, I'm surprised you did not pick up that line of dialogue that Harbinger is breaking off from the fleet and heading towards the beam

Because of physics and because of in game canon
Reaper weaponry literally rips ships in half, but can penetrate or disintegrate Shepard's armor as easily?
And skin tight, very much unlike the female Shepard cover of the game?
And do tell, name me a part of the armor that could be removed and non sexual?
As for fighting enemies in such condition, I don't think Shepard really has a choice. You say "You can't fight bad guys with half your armor missing" so matter-of-factly, yet I doubt you can ask them for a time out so you can replace your damaged wardrobe
I don't see that one really has much of a choice to fight with missing armor. It seems to me that you can fight regardless of what you're wearing, as people in game have done

Okay, so you're either delusional or you've never played Mass Effect.
Fem Shepard does not have skin tight armor, you dolt: [link] What part of that looks skin-tight to you? the layers of metal plates? seriously.
lol @ that argument. Please see the events in the actual game, brotato

It sucks how everyone presumes you were simply sexualizing shepherd =/
I know people draw huge boobs on this site people, but come on. The female body is how it is. Look at all of this artists art. Look at the effort of the piece. While his arts have sexualized pieces. There is often serious pieces. Think a little before you comment. If a penis was shown on a very muscular Β male figure, no one would have this big a scuffle. Just because skin was shown on a female doesnt make it a sexual piece and there for wrong at it's core. (Its not bad to have art portrayed as such).Β
By the logic of "too much skin shown" I assume that when a straight women draws a a naked women it is always sexual too? It's not fair to just presume. Ask, and make an opinion just in case, but don't bash the gifted artist for there ability when there is sense to the loss of armor without it being sexual. If it is, well good, it's been proven by the author and (fair) comments are whatever, if not, my point stands either way. Just don't bash someone without knowing how they were feeling toward the art they were making, or for what the inspiration was.

By the way, it looks like your art is being sold on eBay. I have no idea if you gave the seller permission to sell it, but here's a link to the listing I found:Β www.ebay.com/itm/037-Mass-Effeβ¦

Basically everything aseroidz said.
Fetishizing and stripping down a character who is probably experiencing severe burns and has their armor burned onto their skin is frankly retarded and kills whatever good will I had towards the exceptional background and detail level. Sexualize Shepard all you want but it's incredibly stupid and really out-of-place in a piece like this.

Okay, glancing at a few of the thumbs, you seem fond of drawing Shepard in a fanservice-y pinup pose.
But this painting isn't a fanservice-y pinup, and she's still sexualized for no apparent reason. How is that remotely appropriate for the mood and intent of the piece?
Is that really how you draw her all the time, even when it's not pinup? Add sultry poses and strategic removal of clothing, just for the heck of it?

I used to like CoD, especially CoD4:MW. MW2 was good, but then it just lost handful of charms in MW3, it's not as innovative. Since the economic recession of 2008, gaming developers are trying to push out games as fast as they could without giving much time to perfect it, so you can faintly sense that most games after 2009 lacks what they used to just before 2008 (like CoD4)
Not all games are subjected to this, but most apparent ones are under EA. Mass Effect 3 is one of the example of a game that hasn't been fully developt until it's properly ripe, hence the rushed and poor written ending.
This also applies to MW3, they push it too fast so not enough time to be innovative.
MW2 was balanced, it's fluid and fast tempo but still creative. MW3 focus more on multiplayer I think, so at least improved from MW2
Btw, the first 2 CoD was epic, it puts Medal of Honor to shame years ago. In fact, I stop playing MoH entirely hehe

True, they could have done more. In theory a dead hero is memorable, but Shep grew on us so it's sad that this is the last of him/her.
