This is just a little story i wrote up when i got bored

The clutter of clothes piled up around the minuscule room; the room was Mikey's, even though i'm a girl it doesnt really bother me being in a guys room. The sweet smell of popcorn wafted in and out of my nostrils. Loud chatting began to rise up once again as Mikey cracked another good joke, my hazel eyes filled up with tears of laughter.

Although the room was small, I had just enough space to stretch out my legs and kick off my favourite pair of converse all stars. As Mikey reached out to shut the wooden bed side table drawer he caught my mid length brunette hair in it, so I pointed to the drawer which I was now attached to and made my usual 'this is your fault face', he just smiled and pulled the single purple strand from my head and started inconveniently backcombing it, so I batted his hands away.

I stood up after being freed and quickly dusted myself off, separating bits of popcorn from my now creased new school clothes which I was trying on to see if they'd fit for my first day of my last year of school, which was next week, then returned to my spot on the floor. The dull navy blazer was matched with the typical White school shirt and purple and navy stripped tie. Although it was my uniform and I was forced to wear it almost every day of my life, I still didn't really care if it got all that dirty, to be honest I got bullied whether I made an effort or not so why bother to make an effort in the first place?

I stared into a blank gaze, thinking about how next week will be my first day of senior year, not including Mikey, he's going to be in the year below, however Mikey's brother also known as my friend Gerard would be in the same year with me, we call him Gee for short. Mikey must have noticed my vacant stare because he nudged my arm
"You'll be fine" he said in a reassuring tone whilst adjusting his glasses a little.
"It better be better than last year" I replied in the most miserable tone that I could, then I sighed rather loudly by accident. Mikey frowned "Don't let anybody get you down Adrian, or Gee might end up punching someone again" he joked but I remember when this horrific event took place last year outside the front of the school, with everyone watching, it wasn't even his fight it was mine, "He shouldn't have intervened" I protested but regretted saying that as I saw Gerard standing in the doorway against the frame, his mid-lengthen jet black hair was messy like usual and his pale complexion the same as always, his Hazel eyes searched the room then rested his eye sight on the pair of us, he was wearing the same ugly uniform as me and Mikey but his uniform made him look rather charming unlike me who looked ridiculously hideous. I felt ill with ease but he didn't look annoyed like I expected him to, we never talk about that day whenever Gerard is around.

"If I didn't intervene you would have never met us" he said calmly, he continued whilst walking over to sit next to me and Mikey on the floor, "And then my life would suck, I mean I wouldn’t have you as a friend or an amazing art critique" he beamed at me and for the first in a long time to, it was very rare to see him beam like that, I playfully punched him arm and he pulled me and Mikey into an unusual massive bear hug "Ugh- can't breathe!" Mikey squirmed I knew he was joking but I kind of had to agree. Once released Gee and Mikey started to engage in a deep conversation, I was watching but slowly zoning out, I began to remember the day I met those two brothers.

I never expected anyone but myself to get hurt that day, or to even stick up for me in a battle for school survival. I was most defiantly unpopular and liked different taste in music and style than most people there so I was an easy target for getting bullied. But that was the day I got noticed by Gerard and Mikey, in their eyes I was cool. It just so happened that I was in one of my usual predicaments where an unsightly footballer had challenged me to school yard fight over something petty and not even my fault, of course I didn't have much choice in the matter.
I was just about to get my face pounded into an oblivion by the massive footballer, tension built up inside me and my guts, I couldn't move, my Brain should have been screaming to run, to run far away and never come back, I couldn't think straight, terror took over as the fist became closer to me, I shut my eyes ready to fill the full force of his rage- yet I received nothing. Behind me was a tall dark figure towering over me, he was holding a clenched fist in the palm of his hand "It's not cool to hit girls, you know" the figure said sternly, before I had time to even blink another fist came flying out of nowhere, I flinched as it swept past my face and planted itself on the footballers nose. A loud cracking noise was echoed before he wept in horrific wails of pain; a gush of blood escaped his nose and leaked out onto his school shirt. I didn't know what to do, I just stood there until the figure grabbed my wrist and started dragging me through the mosh-pit of cheering people, there was loads of pushing and shoving. I was dragged to a quiet isolated place around the back of the school building, it was only when we stopped that I noticed there was another.

"You'll be safe here" the tall pale guy with jet black hair said, "nobody ever comes here" the other guy said the one with the dark brunette hair, black glasses and a grey beanie hat continued, they both had some of the same facial features.
"Hang on, who are you?" I said frantically looking at both of them, they both beamed "Well I'm Gerard way, this is Mikey way and were your new best friends, now come sit down" he replied almost instantly and sat on the lush ground, followed by Mikey. Gerard patted the grass and I wasn't sure whether to cry or to smile so I did both.

"Adrian? Are you crying?" I was brought back to reality with Mikey's voice, "Oh, yeah, but it's nothing I was just... Remembering" I said standing up and wiping away the tear because I felt like an absolute idiot, I felt so embarrassed, so I started to head for the bathroom, but on my way out I turned to them, they stared at me "Thank you" I said softly "For what?" they both said in unionism, I paused for a while before answering "for being my friends" and with that I turned and left...
