This actually took a while. I'm extremely out of practice when it comes to drawing human characters, so I guess this is my first attempt at getting back into it. I need a lot of practice. Anyway, I wasn't planning on posting this at first. Initially it was going to be a composite image along with a few other characters. Maybe I'll still end up doing that. We'll see...Comments welcome, but I already know I made him a little too old/tall. Oh well!
EDIT: Nuts, I forgot he has arrow tattoos on his hands, too.

Thanks. It's a good show, worth picking up the DVDs. Yeah, I prefer drawing long limbs on people. I don't want to be compared to Peter Chung (Aeon Flux) because of that, though. This Aang isn't that spindly. It's only the lines that really bother me.

I think it looks good for a first try. You should do one of Zukko. I think he'd be bit more challenging.

Ironically, I think Zuko would be a lot easier. At least, his first design would be. Lots of fun armor to work with. I have an extremely shakey hand, so long, smooth lines are difficult for me. Another thing is the poses. This one of Aang is a bit flat and boring, but I'll punch it up next time.

I wouldn't say that this is flat or boring, just different from what is usually done with Avatar fanart.
