Wow this photo fascinates me, cause um, quick odd fact: I've never actually seen a snail. Only slugs.

Well, you've got great focus and detail here, I like that the snail and it's shell have corresponding colors, but that the stone contrasts it.

If I could change one thing though, it'd be the border. I think you may have chosen brown to go with the snail? Just for my personal taste I think it distracts from the image.

You can pretty much never go wrong with either black or white borders.

In this case, black might be best to off-set the stone, but it's all about taste.
