Today, I finished my self-portrait project, in which I took a self-portrait, every day, for a whole year - this is Day 366.

I'm posting below the Blurb from Flickr - don't read it all if you can't be bothered.

But yes. I'm a bit chuffed.

I thought a lot about what to do for today's photo. The end of the project seemed to warrant something epic, but I wasn't sure what to do.

In the end, it seemed fitting to do a final jumping shot in front of my favourite green wall at uni - it's the only photo I ever recreated, and it seemed somehow right to have one of these photos for each third of the project.

Days missed: 0

Equipment used over the year: 3 Nikon cameras - A D40X (mine), a D200 (a friend's), a D700 (mine); five lenses - a 50mm, an 18-135mm, a 70-200mm, an 80-200mm and a fisheye; an SB600 Speedlight; a Sony-Ericsson camera phone; a Canon MP600 scanner.

Photos I dislike and wish I'd re-shot: 22

Highest position in Explore: 6, with Hyperion .

Photo with the most views: Hustle and Flow , with 2615.

Photo with the most faves: Hyperion , with 65.

Photo with the most comments: Symphonia for Suburbia , with 42.

Photo whose reception most confused me: Purse . I didn't think it was particularly well executed or interesting, and it got 56 faves and hit 22 in Explore.

Times I genuinely thought of giving up: 0 (for real. There were a lot of times when it was 3 am, I'd been up since 6, and was absolutely exhausted, when I would have preferred not to have taken a photo, but I was so aware of how disappointed I'd be in myself that the short-term relief wouldn't have been worth it).

So that is that. Thankyou all for your views, comments, faves, support and photos of your own.

What did I get out of 365? Well, I got a lot better at taking photos, I started doing a lot more photography of other people, including some massive group shoots and a lot of theatre photography, and I've opened up some awesome avenues for work in the future. I also had a rather jolly time.

So there you go. Here we are at the end. I don't intend to do 365 again, or a 52 week project. I'll still do self-portraits, but ones that allow me planning time. For the time being, I'm focussing on two massive project that are in my head...both of which will involve over a hundred people. Stay tuned!
