Born looking more like her Pride Land grandfather, Aminifu is so strikingly different from her siblings that their arrival to the Pride Lands is helped only by this fact – the hyenas surround them but are so confused over the cub that they wonder what to do. When Scar appears Aminifu is even more proof of Ahadi’s other family and for Scar this is both a bitter point and an item to point out to the Pride about their beloved old king. Aminifu is readily accepted by the pride members and despite her differences she is greatly loved by all sides, until the day Simba arrives.

With Scar dead Aminifu’s family is always watched with scorn but Simba tries to be kindly to his second-cousin and promises he will not reject her whenever she speaks to him of her fears. With Simba’s return, the lionesses Dhahabu and Utulivu reappear with cubs in tow from regal heritages and Aminifu learns how they had escaped with many others to keep away from Scar’s hyena death squads. Within the cubs Dhahabu has is a tougher looking cub called Haiba who automatically attaches to Aminifu. The pair are constantly playing and Aminifu is constantly asking to sleep with Haiba’s family in the evening more then her own family, which upsets her rather lonely sister Dunia. But her loyalty to Simba’s pride is pushed when she is pulled into Zira’s plan and knows she cannot accept it.

Keeping her mouth shut until the event occurs, the young lioness weeps in the paws of her best friend and tells Haiba everything. Haiba reminds her of Simba’s promise and of her own friendship, she won’t let Aminifu get sent away as they go and confess to Simba. He is kind and can see the loyalty and upset of the young lioness, he tells Dhahabu and her family to take Aminifu with cheetah guard to a safe location for the trial so that Zira cannot kill this cub either! When Aminifu returns to find her family gone she is truly distraught but Dhahabu offers to adopt her fully and so she accepts.

Life is good for a long time for the two top hunters and Aminifu and Haiba become the best at bringing down buffalo and are always joked at as ‘having been twins separated at birth’ but the situation is much more then that. Aminifu and Haiba are a very different kind of couple – they love each other and will mate no males, no matter what is thought of them! After all, with Ahadi’s blood Aminifu knows that any child she has could be considered a threat to Simba and will not allow herself to be trouble for the pride. During this time Aminifu is given many offers by males for her good looks but she often tells them she is married to Simba, just to put them off her. When Simba learns he questions the situation and Haiba is the one to explain it to him – which makes it much more acceptable although Simba keeps the secret for their sake.

As the years go by and Kiara goes off on her first hunt, Aminifu is content that everything will work out fine… until Kovu is brought back with her and the pride begins to fall apart. Aminifu and Haiba confirm their allegiance to Simba often and do their best to hunt further afield and keep Tojo and allies in good positions. During the battle against the Outsiders Aminifu comes face to face with her half-sisters and aunts. They hesitate to attack her, waiting for Pumbaa and Timon to distract them instead and suddenly Aminifu is regretful of abandoning them. But she has barely time to think as Shetani’s group become the main target of her attacks and she must freeze the moment Simba, her protector, is attacked….

Aminifu is one of my favourite lionesses amongst Simba’s Pride along with her buddy Haiba, I always found her fascinating in the fact her colouring was so different to the other lioness in the pride lands. Anyway, I hope you like my idea for her and you like what she is, I’m just very proud of her really. As you can tell she’s the greyish lioness from the Kiara’s Hunt scene and I also chose two lionesses during the battle scene that matched her closest. Her real life base is this lioness here .
