yes the snow is magical when it first falls. It makes the city appear to be clean and white and seems to exude silence. Very mystical & magical. That is until it starts to melt and becomes grey "slush"
I guess somewhere in the Alps it would be there until spring. I don't know. I just know from an ordinary perpective
