I can't explain why I'm so scared of Asian horror than Western horror.
I imagine I inherited my ancestors' fear of the supernatural.
My earliest memory of Asian horror movies was a Hong Kong movie about a building haunted by WW2 Japanese ghosts.
Another Hong Kong movie, that set in Thailand where there this cult who sacrifice people for their "Ancestor" which is some sort of undead monster.
Back when movies use props than CGI or special effects.
