Description Not exactly a tutorial, but I uploaded this just to show the steps I went through to complete Brief . :3

This only shows the process from which I went from sketch, to the middle stage, to the final and completed version of the Commission. I doubt it'd be of any help, since... ya know, I'm not a professional, but I could offer tips. Dunno how helpful they'd be, but it never hurts to offer them, I suppose. C:

Wow, thats a pretty clean walkthrough! I really like the way you are using the colours which are waterbased I guess? The pose is so well drawn and I really fell in love with the backround! VERY nice job!

Hey thanks a bunch!

The colors are actually made by gouache and colored pencils layered a numerous of times before getting the result I wanted. :3

I can't decide whether I like the line drawing or the coloured version better! Definitely a fave either way.

Neat little breakdown of how you do your pieces. I find lighting and shading to be a bit difficult.

Thanks! ^^ Yeah, lighting and shading can be rather difficult, but it's much easier once you decide where the lighting source will be coming from. C:

You're welcome! Yeah, it's something I am trying to work on with a recent drawing I'm coloring in PS. Hopefully, I can have a better understanding on how light sources are applied to the character and the surrounding environment in future pieces.

Your sketches are so clean *A*

Lol, I wouldn't say clean. xD It's hard to see them since I sort of touch them up just a bit with MS Paint (just erasing access marks and stuff), but I usually have quite a bit of lead finger prints or pencil smears and eraser marks on my sketches. :3

So do I >u>; I don't edit them though, I just make the brightness really high and midtones really dark so that the main lines are the only ones really accented |D I have....very basic editing programs LOL

Haha, that's one way of doing it. xD Sadly, I don't have much of an editing program either... if you can call MS Paint an editing progress, lol. xD

I use...fff what's it called, Microsoft Photo Editor? Something along those lines |D I used to us MS paint for some things, but if you make onneeee mistake, it makes choppy edges more than noticeable ;A;

Dude, inorite? D: I hate when that happens, too; sometimes I just leave the sketch dirty because Paint would be a douchebag, but that's alright sometimes; I've always liked that rough and dirty look to sketches, especially when they're colored. :3 They seem a little more fun that way to me, lol. xD

Yes ;A;

Likewise, it adds a touch that you can't get with clean lines :'D
