This is a very interesting design for fauns, though I feel the ape features are too dominant. I think deer heads would work just as well in my opinion, but still good designs nonetheless.

It's kinda the point. They're far more ape than they are deer.

Hi Is it okay if I use this guy's face design for a character I'm developing, or do something similiar? I'm really stuck on how to draw his face, and I've always loved your style ^^

Can I use this guy's species as long as I credit you? It's fantastic!

Thanks! And that'd be pretty cool; if you make the character can you show it to me? :3

Since Centaurs, Satyrs, and fauns are human based or at least creatures with human features, I'm actually impressed you improvised the creatures with primate features in a sense that humans don't exist in Equestria so we don't get confused.

They do really look like monkeys. XD It feels wrong, I'm so much used to human faces and deer legs.
Where do they live? How is their territory?
"Due to the Centaur being a part of Taurus"
We're talking about fauns.
"This why, it allows the faun to satisfy their baes instinct"
Base, perhaps?

Eh, it'll pass. xD For a minute I had to get used to it myself, if only because fauns usually have hair and I was debating on how to give them hair without making it look ridiculous.
Like I said above, they like living close to the coast, so in forests that reside close to large bodies of water, such as the ocean or rivers. I don't know what you're asking when you say "how is their territory" though.
I can't find the error you seem to have seen. I have "due to the Faun being part of Taurus" down, not "centaur". Same thing with the one about the "base instinct"; it's already there. o3o

I'm sure it will. I think the pose is also a big deal. If they stood upright in all pictures, maybe it would feel more standart.
I was asking the same thing, basically.
Ooooh, that must be because I opened the picture, went to bed, and then read it like 9 hours later, so you've fixed 'em already XD

I like the primate substitute idea; very creative and interesting. I certainly never would've thought to use someone like this.
Keep up the good work.

I feel like this has a similar problem to the minotaur, the legs are so small and disproportionate. It kind of works when on all fours, but the standing one looks like it's legs are going to break beneath it.

It might be because how heavy the arms look, given how large I've drawn them.

Quick question on the government stuff...Since it seems to be the same for all these members of Taurus...so...this tournament...does it encompass all the members of Taurus at the same time, so therefore the winner could be a Faun one time, a Centaur 4 years later, a Minitaur next, etc? Or is it only species-wide, so that there's a High Chief for each species? Sorry if it was meant to be obviously one way or the other, but that's been confusing me for a while. XD;

EarthnAshes In reply to VioletWhirlwind [2015-06-02 22:12:09 +0000 UTC]
The tournament applies to all tribes and species in Taurus, so basically anyone can be leader if they have the skill and smarts to make it through said tournament and beat the current High Chief. c:

Oh, hey, I had an idea for a faun character... Although, I think mine is a bit more traditional homosapien mixed with goat since he's based on the pied piper.

It makes perfect sense since Tirek was a gorilla with a horse's lower body for legs and bison horns.

Honestly, Tirek looked more like a mashup between a gorilla, a bison, and a bull to me, at least I thought he did in the face as well as his overall torso build. It's why I headcanoned the Centaur the way I did. :3
