The mountain bluebird pair come every spring to one of our birdhouses and raise their brood. They were late this year and I was afraid they wouldn't come. This is a beautiful painting of this bird.

Thanks . They are one of my favorite little songbirds. Last year I was on a trail ride up in the hills and kept seeing little flashes of bright blue. They are so pretty

Thanks . They are such bright blue little birds - I ended up mixing three different colors of blue to come close to their color

LOL - Thanks. It is a bit rougher than most of the work I do, and pretty simple. I have another one of the same little bird, but turned and looking right at you. I will probably take a break from the large commissioned oil and finish it this coming weekend

Thanks ! It is a bit of a rough painting for me - I was determined to just spend one day doing it as I am so backed up with commission work (I needed this one for a donation later this week). So I didn't go back over it adding detail and such like I usually do. But I have to admit, it was kind of fun to paint the little guy
