egy kicsit a digitalizált képen lehetne javítani, hogy ne legyen ilyen halvány (gondolom élőben is sötétebb), képszerkesztővel vagy magának a szkennernek a beállításaival (ált. a középárnyalatok/midtones sötétebbre változtatásával).

What pencils did you use (i'm trying to understand more about different types of pencils/shading/shadowing)

it was long ago, I don't really remember, but I think it was made with
B, 2B, 4B and 6B Koh-i-Noor pencils. Lately I've been experimenting with different brands and I like Faber Castells the most, and for the darkest parts I use Staedtler Mars Lumograph. I also have some light shades of Derwent graphite pencils, but rarely use them, they're very hard H-shades. for me the Koh-i-noor 3H works best on the light parts, it seems to me somewhat smoother than the Derwents.

I have just started Drawing and trying to teach myself how to do shading(any books you could advise me on would be great help)so It wont be as good as yours and probably wont even look like Tom Hardy but its for me to practise off and i find i do better if i draw something i am excited about.

I can't recommend books, but there're lots of great tutorials on dA about shading and drawing in gerenal. have a look around in the galleries of the and , I'm sure you're going to find something useful

i really want to learn some skills of painting and designing from you. but i am in china now.

that's very flattering but honestly I don't think there's much I could teach you.
Without belittling it, I can say that my "art" practically consist of hand-practice on copying photos that I like for some reason(not even that masterfully
but here's my recipe to reaching this particular level:
- practice drawing every day, challenge yourself with references (and even styles and media maybe)
- browse dA very often and study other people's works
- read tutorials (you can find lots of them collected in awesome groups like and )

i am a senior high school sudent of grade 3, and only 1 year left for the entrance exam of collage. so i don't get much time to practice drawing. but i like drawing, that's true. and i'll remember what you've told me. i really appreciate it.
