Ah, in the Marvel comics, it was possible for Transformers to easily survive decapitation as long as they weren't surprised by it - if they were surprised, they'd probably die, but if they weren't surprised, they'd survive.
So in the Marvel comics, Impactor could tear off Xaaron's head repeatedly and Xaaron would be fine, as long as Impactor didn't surprise Xaaron in the process.
Just think of the stress relief, there! Xaaron's being annoying again? Just yank off his head! It'll go right back on...

The whole "tear off his head but carefully not surprise him" made me lol in the lab. Marvel UK has the weirdest setting in the universe.
Though it would be stress relief for Impactor, but I doubt it's healthy for Xaaron. Maybe they should try more conventional way involving neck and head... *slash idea emerges*

Their heads pop off and back on! At one point, Dreadwind even takes off his own head and then snaps it back on just to demonstrate that he can do it with no harm!
Anyway, I do not think Xaaron should be at all surprised if Impactor yanks off his head. Xaaron has it coming, at this point! And then Impactor can force Xaaron to cosplay the Headless Horsebot for Halloween by refusing to give Xaaron his head back. >D
However, I am vastly intrigued by your slash ideas!

Ohhh, you gave me idea for this year's Halloween picture.
This year will be Impactor's payback time! He can carry Xaaron's very unimpressed head around for trick or treat. Too bad Xaaron's head can't serve as candy basket. He still need the thing inside his head.

Impactor (the harpoon guy) is originally from Marvel UK. He appeared in IDW's "Last Stand of the Wrecker" too. Xaaron is also from Marvel UK (he was Impactor's superior in the comic). He appeared briefly in IDW's Ongoing #23.
