for more embarrassing old stuff, you can check out my gallery and go to the last few pages. i think the scrapbook has some old stuff in there too.i never do "spring cleaning" like some DA artists. i like to keep my stuff intact in my gallery so i can look back on the stuff i drew a few years back and laugh at myself.
i think this is easily the most embarrassing thing i have ever posted on DA. it goes all the way back to 2004.
if the picture itself didn't give you a good laugh, read the comments. my days as a hardcore robin fanboy embarrasses even myself.

i draw traditionally on paper with pen and ink. digital drawing with a tablet isn't my forte.

About the barfed out rainbow thingy-- I... am like that and I hate it! T.T
I also prefer traditional art over digital. It looks more~~ I mean... it just looks more appealing to me.
But-- the picture you made of Luffy, Franky and Usopp colored in Photoshop is great too! How can you do that?? XD
And you shouldn't be embarrassed! I mean~~ see how cool you are right now! *idol*

really cool, u really got the hang of the color spreads reall well. I have a few copic markers, but not enough, i feel to actually make something decent. I should try again though *somewhat inspired* great work man, awesome improvement

Wow this is really funny and creative how you displayed your journey as an artist
Its kinda funny/scary cause I was the same as you when I started drawing in 4th grade. I only copied DBZ too and loved Trunks even though I'm a girl...ahaha. But now I love ONe Piece (its still my favorite anime) and I hope to become a great artist like you!

You've made alot of changes and that's good.
In this years, that you showed in the pics you've done more enhancements than me in ten years. Good for you, bad for me. You learn very quick and you've got alot of fun to tickle out your own style, wich is really cool and comical.

Well alright. That was pretty interesting. See you go from generic poorly drawn fandom, to.. well.. since I first started watching you a couple years back I've thought your stuff was pretty amazing. Complicated spreads with decent proportions, and you do a pretty good job of choosing a good perspective.
I like seeing how people improve in direct comparisons like this one. Personally, I've gone from toddler stick figure quality to disproportionate Hello Kitty quality myself over the last year. I still have a ways to go since I wish to do tons of concept art for characters, backgrounds, objects, and props. I'm taking classes. It would also help if I got into the habit of regularly drawing something, anything.

I know! I only got set A, but I want the other sets sooo baaddddd. I still end up using prismas for some colors because I just don't have the range of colors. Like red, for some reason. I end up just using some green to darken in, but all my reds seem to be like.. the same.

Ugghh I know ;_; I got lucky and someone on one of my forums was selling a bunch of copics she didn't use for like, $3 a marker. I was like HOMG GIVE THEM TO ME. I literally bought every color she had that I didn't have.

I wish more artists would do this. Makes me reflect on my own artistic past. Too bad I don't remember when I drew stuff! I think it'd be a good idea to buy a brand new sketch book for each year and keep track of it that way. Just a thought.

these kind of things always encourage me, but this one especially. I guess that's because you show that, even when you weren't very happy with what you made, you still put a lot of time and effort in it, and always tried to learn from it. Very inspiring indeed
