I have the urge to watch Sleeping Beauty right now. I don't know why but I keep replaying the part where Maleficent says to Prince Philip 'Hair of sunshine gold, Lips that shame the red, red rose' in my head. It's really weird. I love Merryweather the most out of the fairies, there aren't a lot of larger females in Disney movies and she's funny too. I like Emily Osment's version of 'Once Upon A Dream' it was awesome!
If Maleficent turned up in your bedroom would you be scared? If she had her creepy green flames around her I would definitely be scared. Does anyone know what happened to the stepmother and stepsisters in Cinderella? I saw the 2nd and 3rd movies but it doesn't give much indication. What happens to Jafar in 'The Return of Jafar'? I haven't seen it and now it's bugging me to no end. Guess I'll watch it after sleeping beauty.
Has anyone besides me noticed that most of the princesses fall in love and get married when they are in the ages between 16 and 18?What kind of message does that send to girls? That we are all going to have our fairytale love story by the time we hit 16?
It also involves them breaking the rules, like Jasmine leaves the palace and gets arrested, Ariel goes to the sea witch which is forbidden, Aurora touches a spinning wheel, Cinderella isn't too bad but her parts of her pink dress was stolen from her stepsisters but technically Gus Gus and Jaq stole them, Snow White didn't do anything wrong and neither did Tiana, Rapunzel left when it was forbidden, Mulan joined the army even though she wasn't allowed to, Belle didn't do anything wrong I don't think except when she tried to run away, Pocahontas went against her tribe and met up and made out with John Smith....that's all I can think of. I'm not harping on Disney, I absolutely love it, it's amazing and I will never stop watching it!

Youve made a very good point. I love disney soo much but i feel as tho disney sends out other messages. Good ones and bad. For example for sleeping beauty, you need a man in bright shining armor to come rescue. We cant save ourselves? Fo little mermaid, a woman has to change who she is completley for.love. and all of them, you have to break the rules and dishonor your your parents completely to be happy?
I guess there are many more good messages than bad. Follow your heart. Dont let love go by any means necessary. Love will cone back to you if it really is love. Be yourselve. You know etc.

Btw i HATE the way the second Pocahontas ended. I think that john smith and Pocahontas were just beautiful for each other. I was upset when i watched it. I mean i guess the ending was a good one. They couldve just made it completley predictable and let john be with Pocahontas. Idk lol

Yeah the ending to Pocahontas II was a bit weird. I wish she just stayed with John Smith! The other guy was nice and all but definitely didn't have the same connection with Pocahontas! It's also odd that all of them barely know each other and yet they decide they're in love and get married! You can't know your in love in just a few days! I really hate how it's always the prince saving the princess, it's getting really annoying, I wish the princess could be the hero for once

I know lol. But then itis a fairy tale i guess. The other thing that kind of bothers me is that there is only one black princess n it took disney almost 50 yrs if not more to make her. And theres no spanish princess!!!! Lol there is an asian one, a native american one, an african American one and an arabian. But not a spanish one!!! Lol someone needs to represent us

They should so have a Jamaican one! I would love it if there was an English one. I just love English accents and the guy would have to be hot and have it! Or maybe someone from France or Italy. Something different at least!
I love Tiana! It's great that they made her black but it sucks that they only now just created her that way. They've pretty much covered a lot of the princess stories that I can think of in general...did they do a princess and the pauper one or am I imagining it?

Cuz i keep forgetting about it and i dont have it. And i never see it on tv. And yea. Like the second and third ciderella...i realy dont want to see them. Or i coukd jist live without them

Theres not much point in the other 2 cinderellas, the second one is just 3 short stories and in one of them is where Anastasia falls in love with a baker and I can't remember the other 2. Cinderella 3 is just how Anastasia finds the fairy godmothers magic wand and gives it to her mum who turns back time so that Anastasia dances with the prince at the ball, then Cinderella fixes it and they get hitched again! theres really not much point in the other movies
