Description So this is a WIP of my first digital drawing with my new tablet... been practicing with it a bit over the past two weeks but I think I'm actually going to finish this one. It's just for practice, trying to develop a drawing style. I'm not going to be drawing just portraits, I wanna do some more cartoony stuff as well, but I really like drawing faces so I thought it'd be a good idea to do a portrait for my first digital art upload.

It's David Lynch, by the way, one of my favourite film directors.

It looks really silly right now, just a face on a grey background haha, but I've still got a ways to go... have to fix up the proportions and obviously draw the hair and the rest of the face (my pet peeves, I love drawing facial features but I hate the rest, haha)

Hope it doesn't look too bad!

This is incredibly gorgeous, even if it's just a face on a gray background ;D And I am totally jealous of your already-developed masterful skills. It makes me miss my tablet all the more lmfao

I love the eyes thus far. Then again, eyes are one of my favorite things to draw myself lol. Well, I certainly can't wait to see the end result! I'm sure it'll be phenomenal.

Aw thank you so much! I'm trying a new shading style where I'm mostly usingΒ only a 1px-2px hard round brush in black or white at different pressures, with a little bit of crosshatching. So it gives a kind of messy effect which I kinda like lol I've still got a long way to go though.

Awww thank you so much! You're so nice I'm not as good as you are though, by far. I suck at drawing original stuff... this is basically just copying straight from a reference image. It's good for practice though!
