i never looked at Kovu as adult in the movie at all..he and kiara are maybe toward young-adult at the end..but during the movie both where teenagers.
Kovu got much shorter mane and is tiny compeer to Simba, and taking the size of Kovu as a lion, l would think he would be just as big as Simba as a adult lion.
