I had taken a photo of my neighbors Iris's. When I saw how it turned out, I thought....Hey, I can draw that...so I did.

That must be great to be able to draw like that! Are you going to color it in?

I probably won't because color pencils will not do it justice (too light), chalk smears, markers will not blend, and I do not know how to paint.....yet.

I love coloring things in with colored pencils - but you're right. They are too light sometimes, and trying to get them darker makes it look worse. I can't stand coloring with markers. I can't paint that good either, but I'm trying to learn watercolors. I made an interesting discovery not too far back. Watercolor pencils. They're really great to work with; you use them like normal colored pencils, then you get a small paint brush wet and go over the colored in areas - and it turns to watercolor. Blends nicely too.
