Lovely story and intriguing images. The way you've painted them, with the paint both revealing and obscuring, only heightens the feeling created by it.

they are beautiful. I wouldn't have exactly thought of death and corpses before reading the poem, the paintings just look darkly melancholic, but after the poem (which was awesome and tragic), I now see them as the underwater, possibily dead bodies of the twins.
remarkable work

Thank you so much! Honestly, when I painted them I was not thinking of death- at least consciously. But after they were finished the story came to me. I like the underwater idea, I saw it most in the left sister.

That is awesome, well I am going to have to do some detective work and figure out who painted that.
Thanks for telling me about it!

This is gorgeous, and I love the poem! You've managed to make the faces so similar, yet very different, each has a character and a story to tell. I especially like the green twin, she looks like a gloomy forest nymph.

Thank you! Yes I based them on me I usually do that because I have been feeling weird about using stock and it's hard to round up my friends to model. I have been painting other people now though. I kind of like working from myself because I can get the expression I want, it is hard to command people to express what you want.

Always welcome^^
Oh, I can understand it! Drawing other people is really hard too... I also like posing for myself, it's fun to grimace in front of the mirror to get the neccessary expression.
