Richfest is the third of the Greyhawk Calendarβs four festival weeks. Celene is full once again and high summer officially begins.It's still early afternoon in Highfolk City, Alysin Lliam and Uthred escort young Kyalani, the Elf Magician from the well known inn "The Vesve Tankard". She's still a bit shy about meddling with the carousing crowd of the citizens. Everybody is out in the streets....it will be very much noisy at night!

Love the busyness of the entire scene. Everyone seems busy doing their own thing or nosing in others' business. But equally nice are all the varying expressions worth studying...each one uniquely different. Nice one, sir. Very nice!

This is an outstanding work of art.Β I don't think I've ever seen a 3D-based image that really makes you feel like you are seeing an actual crowd of active people like this one does.Β But that hasn't taken away from the main characters, who are obvious and set apart just enough to draw the eye.Β But they are not emphasized so much that they feel separate from the crowd, they're still right in the thick of it.Β Great poses, expressions, and details, as always.
And then there are the side characters, all of whom feel alive, like they have their own stories to tell.Β I like how the waitress and the guy holding the green pastry (or whatever it is) have locked eyes.Β I might be reading too much into it, but I think there's some mutual attraction there.Β I suspect he's going to be a regular customer of The Vesve for awhile.
The background details are also excellent, whereas many artists might have avoided all of that by employing a somewhat unnatural depth-of-field blur, you've filled out an entire street (and then some) in crisp detail, giving the image a lot of depth and realism.
