Shuten is more of a classy one, that line in the other version(Not a fan of bitchy femdom myself though XD) and middle finger seem more like something Medb would do in my opinion XD

You're not wrong, but this is my take on it.
-Shuten seems to have a bit of a sadistic side and likes needling Ibaraki. So if she said something to this effect offhand that got a big reaction out of her Master she might lean into it and use it to bully him.
-I like bitchy femdom so I don't mind bending characterization a little in that direction.
