The background is a separate image from all of the planes. Each plane is it's own separate image as well - I just pasted them into the scenario as I thought made a good layout for a dogfight.
I replaced the ingame propellors with custom made ones as they just look like grey discs otherwise, and added the wing tip vortexes to the upper right La-5.
I also added a softening filter to the overall picture when it was all done.

ThatΒ΄s great !!!
It must have taken a lot of time.
I really admire the german Luftwaffe, because my grandparents were germans and my dad and my brother are Naval Aviators in the Argentine Navy.
ItΒ΄s an astonishing image. So I understood how you did it, but where did you take the images from? Was it from Combat Flight Simulator??
Great Job!!!!

The images are from IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles, a WW2 flight combat sim from 1C: Maddox Games. It's a few years old now but still one of the best WW2 flight sims around.

Beautiful work. I'll fire up my copy of "Ace High March" from my BOB CD and enjoy the art.

Was it a alternate reality pic? La 5's didn't fly that early in the war. Still an instant fav... Great work.
