I used only dry pastels and my fingers. Paper is Canson for pastels. And I don't use fixative.

Fixating frightens but solftly performed won't destroy the work. I have recently found that pastel pencils sharpen details pleasurably with less effort even when their colour doesn't match perfect. How much pastels do you have available?

I have just 36, brand Faber Castell. They can draw better than the softest but I'm wondering if they are enough as i find myself a lot of time with 4 or 5 contiguous ones. I'm also shure I need pastel pencils for detail.
