Being a Star Trek fan myself, I've been wanting to try STO out, but I don't feel like paying €49 for something I may not like, I'd love to have a trial version.

I can totally understand that - especially given the different reactions it caused admidst those who played it. But I think a trial is only a matter of time.
If I get my hands on one (there was supposed to be a code in the retail box I do not have yet), I'll let you know.
