Description

Bathymetry is a duo specialized in screamo and heavy metal. The band is comprised of Ichiya, the former guitarist/vocalist for Squid Squad, and Shiruko, an Inkling singer newly arrived in stardom. They often do collaborations with other artists to make up for missing parts.

Their songs are infamous for their strong use of profanity and obscenities, so they are disallowed on radio and for use in turf wars. However, the band is well-known among former Squid Squad fans and metal-heads, and their fan-base can be considered a cult by some. They are considered one of the hit bands of their genre, tied for first rank with Disspair, a heavy metal/EDM duo featuring Warabi and Ikkan, the former bassist for Squid Squad. There have been many a turf war over which band is better, but Bathymetry and Disspair themselves don't consider each other rivals, with Ichiya and Ikkan having a personal connection with one another and knowing well enough that their styles are vastly different.

Ichiya

Former Squid Squad guitarist/vocalist. After the band split apart, Ichiya moved on to start a new band with Shiruko to focus more on intense riffs and vocals. No longer side by side with his former band-mate Ikkan, Ichiya has taken on more deep and aggressive vocals, but his iconic high-pitched screeching can still be heard from time to time. His guitar skills are extraordinary, the speed and power of each strum and stroke set the rhythm for every song in a way that bass and drums cannot compare. Naughty and intimidating during performances, he's quite the friendly fellow offstage with a charming and mischievous attitude that is seemingly only sedated by the presence of his partner, Shiruko.

The female Inkling on the right is Shiruko, the band's second vocalist. She is a professionally trained singer; she had started learning the basics of music at a really young age and had taken various classes during her school days. It was during middle school that she had met Ichiya who was also learning music at the time. Shiruko is a mezzo-soprano, and her voice can be recognized as the higher vocals in their songs. She specializes in belting, and she is admired for her ability to shout lyrics continuously yet comprehensively without tire. As for her personality and attitude, she is incredibly sweet and protective of her partner, yet also mischievous with a love of teasing and humiliation. She tends to speak in a very direct tone with others which can come off as blunt.

Their album contains three songs so far which are:

Killer Wail

Bathymetry's signature and hit song featuring vocals reminiscent of Seaskape but brought on a whole 'nother level. Guitar riffs are used to accurately replicate the sound effects of a Killer Wail, and for their live shows an actual Killer Wail is used in the finale.

Bioluminocity

Bathymetry's only song that features a prominent keyboard/synth. These are provided by Namida.

Red Inkstriker

Nothing much to say besides that it is considered Bathymetry's most raunchy song.

Honestly I do apologize for the long hiatus. I am doing quite well, though life is getting a bit more busy for me. I have still been doing art, in fact I've done a lot and am still going on with my passions. Yes I am still passionate about splatoon; I've found myself an increasing interest in the bands of the world and this here fan-made one is something I've actually been working on for quite the months now, and a simple post and description don't do it justice.
Will probably disappear again after this post, just wanted to share something that I've been putting a lot of my time and heart into.
