Good story I liked
Nowadays nobody escapes situations like this
They say, C'mon let's go out have fun, but they never leave your mobile

I am having deja vu! I get the shits so bad when people do that to me. I make a point of waiting in angry, malevolent silence when it happens.

LOL!! XD
I try not to do that!
My husband will talk to me while Im in the middle of it knowing full well that I was already engaged in the text before he spoke. I just look at him like, give me a second I can't hear you and write! XD

I'm completely aware of that, especially with driving.

I know what you mean. It's amazing how much we tend to miss, though, even when we are trying to listen. I've looked down at my phone before only to look up and realize the waitress has cleared the table. "Oh...." I say...

Used to happen to me all the time with my friends, I didn't get my phone until grade 11 ish grade 12 ish and everyone had a phone then, if you didn't it was strange XDD So I would just sit there awkwardly aha
This is very relate-able! I like this strip! Awesome job!

Thanks! I'm glad that you enjoyed it!
Honestly, I can completely understand this. I didn't get a cell phone until I was in college, and it felt awkward. It's a strange culture that's grown up around them, for sure.

Yeah. I think it's crazy. I remember the first time I saw a multitouch touchscreen phone (the first gen iPhone). I was like "WHAT?!"

Oh for sure, I remember when they first we starting to come out too, and no one could afford them either XD But it was such amazing technology back then! Aha I just actually got my new phone today!! And its the new Samsung Galaxy S4, the 5 though comes out soon, but whatever, this was what I could afford, and phones are expensive D: But its the first time I had something new XD

Ugggh, I know this feeling all too well...although, nowadays I admit I'm guilty of it occasionally. If I'm texting, I at least wait until there's a lull in the conversation or the story has stopped.
Still, this is beyond relate-able

Yeah. Well, it is one thing if nobody's talking when you pull out your phone. I actually think that is how it started. People would pull out their phones during a lull in the conversation, and text. But it later became a habit and they start doing it during conversations as well.
I think the lesson to take home is that we simply need to be tactful. If we're out with a friend, let's not text. It's like when you get a call. It's polite to step outside to take it.

I totally agree. I don't see why it's so hard for some people to just put aside the phone for a few minutes (especially while driving, that bothers me the most).
I love the facial expressions in this, and how he finished his drink and then just got up and left in the last panel. XD

I'm glad to hear that your friend wasn't hurt and nobody else either. Hopefully they'll just pass a law or something that lets police ticket people who are texting while driving. I've found texters look a lot like drunk drivers when you're behind them. Their cars tend to wander all over the road.

Yeah, me, too. I'm not totally sure, but I think in my state you can get a ticket for texting and driving (and I know you can for talking on the phone and driving)...still doesn't seem to stop people from doing it though. ;_;

Yeah, unfortunately. I think the enforcement of it simply isn't very good in most places.
