My favorite unit, too.
I've used it to defend against Dreadnought rockets--rockets will be destroyed before launching if situated in his pollution radius.

yeah, my favourite units from RA2 and Yuri's army bane with Terror Drones (because of killing poor slaves, and all infantry- even Yuri clone couldn't survive his radiation after his mind-control attack).
And there's another trivia about him (and additional proof, why Desolator is so badass) on C&C wikia- a veteran Desolator can withstand even a nuclear attack.

There goes the neighborhood! I prefer the russian Tesla Tanks, but I liked the Desolator, and this captures the feeling of confronting them in the battlefield perfectly. Congrats!

"Ready for meltdown"
"There will be a silent spring"
"There goes the neighborhood!"
Damn i loved the Desolator in RA2. He and the Tesla Trooper got all the cool quotes.
