I recently got a batch of sketch commissions for a charming fairytale-esque novel, "An Ordinary Princess". The author spent many years writing the book, and she recently finished so a bunch of friend's of hers wanted to give her something nice. So, enter me for character sketches~!
I was given pretty much free range (they wanted to see what I came up with based on her writing). I had a wonderful time drawing these bunch of characters.

This last one is Maeven. She gets to be in color and a little more detailed plus an additional headshot because she's the main character. She's extremely tall and thin, with a big mess of brown hair at the top which she simply cannot control (until later). She has a hard time with everything because she just doesn't have the features or grace that's she's supposed to have as a princess.
