These smiling fellows are the only people on my trip in Vietnam to requested a photo taken [aside from family]. They said it was because they were too poor to afford a photo taken of them and that they wanted to be preserved somewhere.They were pretty impressed with my digital camera.

That's kind of sweet. I think I get where they're coming from. They feel obsolete, and want to be remembered in some form or another. It's altogether very sentimental.
