Description The Japanese bridge in Hoi An, is a true work of art. The bridge is the most famous Japanese bridge in Vietnam, lit beautifully with ambient lanterns and colourful lights. It was constructed in the early 1600's, and is the symbol of the past in a sleepy little Vietnamese town. Not only is a bridge, it's also part of a temple, with shrines to numerous deities inside behind the walls. It's a popular location for couples to have their wedding photos taken, we saw 3 weddings while we were in Hoi An.

You made a beautiful photograph here... When touring with my groups we always visited this bridge, but the hotel was outside the city by the beach... And tired me never had strength to go and photograph this bridge. If i get to work again there i'll have a try

I'm happy you used the long exposure and that the different colors could reflect in the water!

Thanks, it's a beautiful piece of architecture. Next time you should stay by the river markets, nice and central to all the action. I rode bikes to the beach, can't say I was impressed to be honest. I suppose its hard to impress me coming from the amazing beaches here in Australia

Yes, i know those river markets well But i was working as a guide, and i stayed in the hotel with my guests... And that was usually the Golden Sands hotel by the beach, with the second longest swimming pool in the world... It's true the beach isn't amazing, but i could make some nice photographs there as well

Australia is also on my list

At the time, in 2009-2010 it was the second longest, after the one in Singapore that is above that "three-legged" building... It's 150m long.
