Description
For the master of anime pin-ups, ~ Khalitzburg this is his character Silky.
The usual naughty pose for her here, and no background to speak of, just a nice simple pin-up.
I tried a little experiment, and duplicated the image layer, made the copy fuzzy with the gaussian blur filter, then made it %50 opacity, -thats what gives the image that dream-like quality..

Well, it varies.. In the past I used a lot of photo reference, but not so much these days - especialy on the cartoon-babes.
ie, 'Jean & Psylocke' was drawn with reference (it's an older pic), whereas 'Rikku Catgirl', 'Romina', 'Jessica Rabbit', and 'Leopard Bikini' were all drawn from my imagination.
But a lot of those poses would have subconcious influence from real life or pics I'd seen elsewhere..

That's the beauty of cartooning, you can have quite a slippery grip on anatomy and still be able to fake it..

Nice. Her face is a bit anime for my liking, but give me a paper bag, and i'd hit it.
Blurry effect is interesting- it's like the filter they have in old films for the womens' close up-shots- so you can't see their wrinkles i presume. In films it's kind of overused and annoying, but here it's cool.

That blur technique may be a cliche, but it's newto me..
It's something you see in glamour photography to help hide blemishes and stuff that even make-up won't cover! XP
