Anyone remember this guy from 2015?
fav.me/d8fx0ar the 2nd deviation that I ever submitted here and I was ever so proud of it, even the very clever (if not totally blatant looking a it now) trick of using his mane to conceal the fact that I could not get the neck right and I lacked much understanding of Anatomy. I have had it displayed in my bookcase ever since... Until last week when I was searching for some comfort reading the the pages of Diana Wynne Jones and for the first time in quite a while I actually noticed it... I was instantly seized by my Muse's insistence that it was The Keeper's time to be drawn again. He is such a interesting character that I am bemused that I haven't done it earlier.

I wasn't sure what I was expecting to happen when I sat down staring at blank paper... Then this happened! Honestly I am blown away by the result, this feels like such a grown up piece for me and an tribute to the original.
It feels good to actually see and feel the growth in my work and see how far I have come and it is very humbling and inspiring for me to recognise that.
I am so in love with his mane (yeah... I'm showing off somewhat, but hey I finally worked out how to do effortless looking mane swirls! )

I strongly suspect that this is more of the image that my younger self would have liked to create when she first dreamed up the Keeper of Lost Dreams.

So here's to inspiration, mercurial Muses, new growth and learning and to all my amazing followers and your own creative endeavours! And the amazing artists who continue to inspire and help me improve! Thank you all!
