Character from my story "Cold Eye"Her name is Mina:

In the story, it is forbidden to worship "God" and any person found so will have be "Reeducated." It was believed to be foolish to worship something that cannot be seen or observed. The idea of "God" is a poison to mankind. Man is the greatest being!
Mina is the daughter of the Preacher/Healer in this hidden under ground village. She leaves the village once in a while to bring home supplies and food.
On her way back, Mina encounters a boy in the forest, who rescues her from a monster. She finds out later that he was a "Stray."
(Strays are believed to be superhuman and the key to man's evolution into a higher being.)
To mina's people, strays are cursed humans, and they should avoid them.
Well, Mina decides to follow the boy on her journey.

From this painting, I get the feeling she's talking about God after reading the description although at first impression I thought she was talking about a boy...or perhaps she is.
