Love how the lowering light has given a yellowish tint to the white.  Like he's thinking, "Time to hit the barn for a long night's sleep."

Now that's dedication XD Bird shots must be a complete nightmare at times, in order to get the right focus I suppose.

It depends on what you are using and how much time you have to acquire focus. I had to manually focus this shot in split seconds, as I use an 2x extender on a 400mm 5.6 which shuts down auto focus. Eagles are large birds, so it is not as difficult as focusing on small birds like a sparrow.
