This is our mule, Jake. Don't ask me what he was bred from, he's a mystery! He's quite the character as well! He's like the pasture dog that follows you around and always has his nose in your business. Jake and I have a give and take relationship. He pesters me and I pester him and we love it! (Secretly...) My dad rides him as a trail mule and he's always eager to go and see what's around the corner!Jake actually chose us and not the other way around. He used to live a couple houses and fields away with another horse. His pasture mate passed away and he was feeling heard lonely and jumped the fence. That's when we found him in our yard the first time. We took him back home, naturally. A couple days later, there he was again. So his owner let us "hold onto him" while he fixed his fence line to keep Jake in. Three years later....lol The original owner said, "Ah, just keep him." We've had for about five years now.
Stubborn mules are stubborn.

Mules are JUST like regular horses, except for the fact that they have long ears, are build a little different, and are much smarter+sure footed!

I don't even remember asking this. Anyway, thanks for answering! The thing is though, it's been two years; I've learned a lot more and cared for several mules, so I basically know everything you just said about mules, plus more. I really love mules! Owned one myself for for two years.

Yeah! I had one named Peanut; he was they best boy ever! He unfortunately didn't have the greatest of hooves, so he was always refusing to be ridden. Oh well though, I have too many good memories with him.

I'm no mule expert lol As you can tell we aren't traditional mule keepers. We don't clip his mane and he trots and gallops just as our horses do all the time lol So I can't answer that xD
