Description I've had a lot of people asking how I do my whiskers so I did this thing up real quick while i was finishing a head. This is not super detailed but it should be enough to shed at least some light on my process.

Assemble supplies, example being:
Fursuit head that needs whiskers (obviously... I hope)
Fishing line
Something long and thin to part the fur (I use a styling comb)
Hot glue gun
Hot glue sticks
Scissors

I suggest cutting out whiskers in clumps before starting to install them, it makes the process go much quicker.

Basically part the fur where you want the whisker(s), I do only one at a time.

Put tip of whisker into glue nozzle to cover it in glue.

Put whisker tip which is now covered in glue into parted fur, This is time sensitive!

Once its placed in squish the fur back onto the whisker and hold for a few seconds until glue is set.

And repeat 30-80 times depending on amount of whiskers.

Just going to say that for realism, you're not going to do many more than 30. I'm not an expert on other animals, but I know cats have 12 on each side. Other species are probably similar. Great tutorial!

Cats also have much smaller faces, so to make it look correct, more whiskers could be needed on a fursuit head. Also, sea otters have on average 120 whiskers. This is such a great tutorial!

Thank you so much for this! It's great for if you need much longer whiskers.

Ok I know this might be off topic, but...
How did you make the red markings so seam-less?
Did you paint/dye them?
Thanks.

It's how I do it too, but I use E6000, gives me a little more working time.
