A sepuket again because they're easy to draw and I've been struggling the last couple weeks.You know how some days you get those pictures that won't do anything you want them to do? ... started ok in colour pencil, then switched to Derwent graphitints for the fur. Then it all went wrong and I attacked it with india ink. Then colour pencils again and finally I gave up and scrubbed over it with Distress Ink, because it seemed somehow appropriate.

Hi there. In the case of this picture, I have to say I was experimenting with ways to draw it so hadn't referenced anything... was just seeing where the ink and paint took me!

Well I think the final scrub was a perfect touch. It makes everything feel soft while your shadows on his fur stand out, bringing some focus in. Looks like an awesome watercolor effect

Thank you! Yeah I think the distress ink saved it, though this still isn't top of my list of favourite things I've drawn this year.
