"The genus Camellia was namned by Carl von Linné (1707-1778), a Swedish botanist, physician and zoologist, in honour of a Jesuit missionary and botanist to the Philippines, named Georg Joseph Kamel (1661-1706) also known as Camellus, as it says in the hisotry books.
What is not said thow is that Kamel had often written of a mysterious and beautiful young woman named Camellia Von Rosée, in his journals which Linné got the opportunity to read. Linné understood how his friend felt for this woman, yet had a feeling that her world was unreachable for Kamel.
Linné himself later wrote in his own journals about the very same woman. Once he had visit an artist friend abroad and seen a painting of a woman that was so alike what Kamel had written and they even shared the same name. Could it be the same person?! But how was this possible when acording to his friend he himself had just recently painted this portrait of the woman who was a highly respected and desirable french courtesan.
Knowing it would be impossible that this could be the same woman he never mentioned it again. However when he was to name the genus his first thought whent to Camellia Von Rosée..."

The first part is actually true however after the history books the rest is fiction!
But this is my vampire self

I wanted a painted look so worked hard on adding more texture and dry brush in different oppasities.
