Description
I felt like it was time to do a Balaur Bondoc , mostly because it`s native to my country,Romania.The painting depicts a late cretaceous scene(70 mya) with a bondoc male specimen, a flock of enantiornithe birds and a Hatzegopteryx( another animal native to Romania). The presence of grass isn`t a mistake, because poaceae plants were well developed in the cretaceous and the presence of a lizard in the dinosaurs mouth suggests an omnivorous diet.The morphological characteristics are are made using cladistics from the avialae group ( Anchiornis,Aurornis,Rahonavis etc...) and yes, I do think its more related with birds and troodontids than dromaeosaurids( like velociraptorinae).
