Thanks man! OMG! I forgot to ask!! You just reminded me about that....I'm going to have to ask her for that, as she paid good for that, and I don't want to post it unless its kosher with her.

hehe Great dude, go ask. I am going to draw a pic for an older couple I know. They are great people. The husband was a fighter piolet in ww2. Flew a mustang. WOW, so I am going to work on something like that for him. I didn't tell them so I am under no pressure.

Thanks cool. Wow what pressure and adrenaline that must have been flying those older plains in dogfights. Good luck on that, i'm sure they will love it.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I can only imagine. Did you ever see combat?

Not really, though nowdays I wish I would have died in battle than live like this, but I guess i'm just being pissy about my situation, and might think different in the future. Its funny though, cause I earned my sharpshooters medal, but never fired in combat. Ah well, I never wanted to kill anyone anyways, but if it comes down to me or them, i'm definitely going to try to make it them!
Another ironic thing about my service, I joined up to travel outside of the US, but only got to go one state over (was stationed in Georgia the whole time) Doh!

I met a couple of young men today who are going over seas. One is in the Airforce and is going to Afganistan and the other in the Marines and is going to Irac. The one that is going to Irac is a rifeman. I said that to another man who was in the marines and he said, they all are. His mom and dad were in church and I was thinking about that family. It is a scary thing for parents to see their son go to war. I will be praying for him. Its not that killing another man that is a tough thing, it is the trying not to get killed would be worse!!! lol Sorry, the desire to stay alive would out weigh my reluctancy to kill someone.

Certainly, can't argue with that, though it works for both sides as well. Though some might think otherwise on the killing thing. There was an army guy that I was not personally friends with, but went mental from the memories of the people he killed. His family found him in the basement with a rope around his neck. He was distraught with the idea that he was going to hell for the people he killed in battle, and that demons were haunting him. I know that not everyone who goes is traumatized by the violence, but some people just can't handle taking someones life. One of the survivors from the black hawk down incident was a Drill Sargent in the barracks next to mine. He was really quiet all the time (which was strange for a DS), and seemed real distant the times I saw him, like it really affected his mind (not surprising though). So I guess my question is, is the saving of our life, worth the losing of our minds?

That is a powerful thought. I know that we can say what we will do put in a situation but it is actually what we would do that would surpise us. Sadam Husain was executed tonight for the horrible things he did. I was glad justice caught up with him. It is like the farmer who has to go out and shoot a dog or an animal. He just has to take it out in the field and do what he has to do.
I know that the germans in WW2 said that they were just following orders and could justify anything that they did because they were following orders. but the truth is knowing that you are doing the right thing is help enough. I cannot speak of war, just of my life. I lived in Northern Ireland all my life and I have saw what terrorism and tramuma has done to a country. I know that we as "normal" people can't understand what a person put in extremely stressful situations would do or be capible of or actually react to them after.

Sorry, this is a long reply! lol
