I loved this pic by when I first saw it.
I love the way you can see the curiosity in her face as she examines the flower.
Don't know if it is finished or not, and I hope I did the beautiful photo justice.
Might come back to it later for some fiddling!
It is on A4 Bristol Board. Used mostly 2H to B pencils and mech pencils, putty rubber, tissues and cotton bud.
Time taken approximately 15+ hours

Drew at school, but stopped doing drawing/doing portraits when I was 16. (too much negative comments - last thing I drew was Kate Bush, she's in my gallery somewhere)
Started drawing again August last year and I am now 37.........so I reckon that is 19 wasted years! 
People on DA have been incredibly supportive and encouraging me to draw lots

I like using them a lot. I also use them to blend if I feel I am struggling to get it even. I use them to take a fine layer of pencil off too if I feel I was a bit heavy handed.

This is really cute and I can see some freckles...I've always had a soft spot for kids with freckles, OH and glasses.

Really well done! You've managed to make shadows in her face, without making it look like she got wrinkles like a "grown-up". And great details with the freckles 
If I were to point something out that could be worked more with, I would say the fingers - the one in the back looks okay, but the two in front needs a little more shadowing (IMO - don't get mad

The photo was quite bright on the fingers and I did them three times, in the end I had to admit defeat. Don't think my eye is quite trained enough to know what I am doing wrong there.
Perhaps with some more practice on hands!!!!

It bugged me before you wrote the note. I was pleased with the face but I am not great at drawing hands anyway.
