Excelo Region Legend Excerpt: The Messenger

"Communication was highly valued in ancient times and remains as such to this day. To those who lacked it, you fail to learn of the unknown and are prone to ruin from invaders. There are records of a select few tribes from the past who managed to befriend a small avian Pokemon who convened with the gods. To these lucky tribes, much prosperity and protection awaited them in the years that followed."

Origin of Name: Aero+Hermes+Air Mail= Aermael
Based on: Hermes the Messenger God of Greek mythology and a homing pigeon.

The final Pokemon of the Excelo Region, the messenger mythical legendary, Aermael! Happy New Year!

Aermael's idea was also set in stone years ago and similarly suffered like many of my Fakemon from being unsure on how to execute the design. I initially debated on what I wanted as my region's mythical legendary with another idea I had at the time (played around with the concept of infinity), but Aermael's concept won out in the end. I finally finished the design around the same time as Stratelord. Surprisingly, I had less problems finalizing it with its more simple design. The "wings" resemble an envelope and I've intigrated Hermes' Caduceus staff and helmet into its body. That's about all I can say about it, so let's end this with the final analysis!

Aermael is the ultimate support Baton Pass Pokemon. With an ability that comes with the move built in, Aermael will always pass on its buffs to its allies who need it. Its signature move, Caduceus, throws in some free healing as well. Its speed means it will carry out its job first most of the time, sans priority. There is some downsides with this strategy, however. Sometimes you don't want to pass on some negative stat changes that Aermael gets afflicted by, but you end up being forced to given how its ability acts. Speed aside, Aermael is pretty frail compared to most heavy contenders out there, so it won't be lasting too long once its role's been used up. Play your cards right however, and you'll be delivering victory to your side!
