I actually witnessed someone launching a spitball at this one kid in my summer class. I'm not sure if it was actually a spitball, but the kid took something out of his hair and said, "Okay, who blew this spitball at me?" What he was holding looked small and white, but my eyesight isn't the best so I don't know if it was something else.
Is it bad that I was mesmerized by seeing a spitball for the first time in my life instead of sympathetic of the kid?

And the kid continued on with his presentation and he kept having to stop to take things out of his hair. They were all white little nuggets like the previous thing. I think they were spitballs, but I didn't know they were so tiny! The small white shape and the fact that some kid in the back was holding something that looked like a tube to launch the spitballs provides evidence that the things in the kid's hair were spitballs.
It's really confusing though because I was watching the kid's presentation the whole time and I never saw a single spitball flying through the air. That kid that was launching them must be good at covering his tracks.

Yeah, it's just that my first time seeing a spitball was such an eye opening experience. Up until then I thought spitballs were something of a myth about the horrors of school and that they didn't exist like wedgies (thank god I've never seen someone get a wedgie before). But, now I know that spitballs are an actual thing and that people shoot others with them.
