I'm not sure if the delicate (looking) gold jewelry the dragon is wearing is part of the commissioner's design or your own. But, the idea that an ancient human (I assume) culture venerated such a creature to the point of maintaining such work (and in exposure to sea-water and air) is rather fantastical. It makes me dream and wonder of a place like Atlantis.
